FINAL RITES ARE TENTATIVELY SET FOR L. COUGHRAN
Final rites are tentatively set for Friday morning, for Lewis Livingston Coughran, 76, who lived on Cornelia Road near Dos Palos. Coughran died early Monday morning in a Merced hospital following a short illness. Funeral service will be held in the Dos Palos Whitehurst Funeral Chapel and burial will be in the Dos Palos Cemetery.
A native Californian, Coughran was born in Mariposa County and had resided in the Dos Palos area for the past 55 years. He was a retired rancher.
Survivors include five sisters; Mrs. Elva Furtney of Sausalito; Mrs. Lola Brown, Tollhouse; Mrs. Lou Shatterley of Tacoma, Washington; Mrs. Maude Hanna of Sausalito and Mrs. Ernestine Strandburg of Portland, Oregon.
