He was born in Frelsberg,Texas ,on September 11, 1902.
He was a former city policman for 17 yrs.
In 1951 he was superintendent of streets for city of Alice
and also had Otto's package store. He preceded in death
by his wife, Etta Gallagher.
Survivors include one daughter ,Mrs. W.E."Jo Etta" McCollum
of Alice ,Tx: one son, Tony (Pat) Richter of Alice ,Tx.
six grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday , April 27, 2000.
Interment will be held in the Gussettville Cemetery in the
Gussettville Community,Live Oak County,Texas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roberson Funeral
Home of Alice.
His Parents were Dietrich and Mary Sommerlatte Richter. He
and his Brother Edwin Richter droveby wagon to George West
in 1920. The whole family moved to George West, 7 boys , 2
girls and their families and grandma and grandpa. He met
and marry Etta Gallagher in 1925. This man with a 6th
grade education could talk in Spanish , German and English
and knew what he thought and wanted .
