Adam S. Anderson, 24, of Owatonna, died on Friday, April 24, 2009 at his home with his family by his side.

Adam was born October 8, 1984 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI the son of Michael and Joleen (Martin) Anderson. In 1987, Adam moved with his family to Freeborn, MN and then in 1989, they moved to Albert Lea. Adam and his family also lived in Chippewa Falls, Bixby and then in 2000 they moved to Owatonna.. Here he attended school at El Shaddai and then in Medford where he graduated from Medford High School in 2005. Following high school Adam worked for Arnold's Supply at Josten's and also for Joyland Child Care.

Adam lived life to the fullest and never complained. He was very thankful for the life he had, and while living with cancer, experienced many miracles and healings... always feeling blessed.

Adam loved playing baseball and was a star pitcher. During high school, he was a student manager for the Medford varsity football team. Adam enjoyed spending time watching the Minnesota Twins, the Wild, The Chicago Blackhawks, and all sorts of movies. He was an easy-going guy who had many friends. Adam enjoyed being with his family; they loved his unique facial expressions, humor and personality. He was always seen smiling.

Being a people person, Adam had a special gift of spreading The Word. He took every opportunity he could to go on mission trips, which included Mexico and Honduras. His love for the Lord and life was able to bring many people closer to Christ.

He is survived by his parents, Michael and Joleen Anderson of Owatonna; four brothers, Nick Anderson, Nate Anderson, Andrew Anderson and Matthew Anderson all of Owatonna; a sister, AnnaVictoria Anderson also of Owatonna; his grandparents, Dean Martin of Oakland, MN; and Marlin and Shirley Anderson of Nekoosa, WI; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Adam was preceded in death by his grandmother Jean Martin.

Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday, April 27, 2009 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home with Dr. Tim Peterson officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna.
