Paulyne Marie Taylor
Paulyne Marie Taylor, 75, of Amarillo died Saturday, March 28, 2009.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St.

Paulyne was born April 17, 1933, in Sayre, Okla., to Paul and Edith Rutherford. She married James Holland Taylor in June 1957, and they would have celebrated their 52nd anniversary this year.

Mrs. Taylor was a nurse and EMT for many years and later was the business manager and notary for Taylor Truck Service until she retired in 2004.

She was an avid reader and genealogical researcher. She wrote several books on the history of her family and helped others in studying their own.

Paulyne enjoyed gardening, playing piano, fishing and sewing, and was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan. She had a contagious laugh, and she will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She was a member of St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Tillman; her father, Paul Rutherford; a brother, Gary Rutherford; and a son, Lanny Snider.

Survivors include her husband, James Taylor; five daughters, Pamela Westbrook and husband James, Joann Hagberg and husband Hank, Tracy Taylor, Robin Briggs and husband Robert and Magan Allen and husband Greg, all of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Scott and Michael Westbrook, Cindy Moody, Sam Hagberg and Tyra Westbrook, all of Amarillo; and several great-grandchildren, all of Amarillo.
