Addie B. Powell, 97, of Todd Lane, Richmond, died Friday, April 24, 2009, at Compassionate Care Center.
She was born in Madison Co., Ky., on March 4, 1912, the daughter of Hugh and Lizzie Keene Lovett. She was the widow of Carlos Powell, a homemaker, and a member of the Union City Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, John Powell (Irina), of Richmond; three daughters, Ollie Frances Combs, of Lexington, Marcie Malicote (James), of Charleston, Ark., and Carolyn Pearson (Dewey), of Richmond; two sisters, Bessie Todd, of Richmond and Bertha Coffey, of Lexington; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sons, James Powell, Carlos Powell, Jr., Ronald Powell and Billy Powell; one daughter, Loraine Keene.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 AM Monday, April 27, 2008, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Lynn Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-9 PM Sunday at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Virgil Davis, Justin Newhart, Dale Combs, Gregory Combs, Tony Duncan, David Irvin, Jesse Combs and Phillip Combs.
