Identified by her middle name "Pearl", she was married to Sam Austin Melton. Pearl passed away in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and was removed to Dallas, Texas for burial in the family plot.

OBITUARY - Mrs. Pearl Melton, Pine Bluff Native
Mrs. Pearl Dockery Melton, 72 widow of Samuel A. Melton, died Monday afternoon at the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Dan McDonald 1820 Olive Street, following a long illness.
Mrs. Melton had been making her home with her sister and family the past three years. A native of Pine Bluff, she was born on June 12, 1883, a daughter of the late Benjamin A. and Addie Blackwell Dockery, pioneer Jefferson County residents.
Mrs. Melton with her parents moved to Texas when she was quite young and she was reared and educated in the schools of Dallas, where she was married. She was a member of the Munger Methodist Church, in Dallas.
Mrs. Melton is survived by three sisters, Mrs. McDonald of Pine Bluff, Mrs. Barbara Eagle and Mrs. C.R. Carr of Dallas, Texas, and three brothers, J.P. Dockery of Jackson,
Mississippi, Robert Dockery of Hazelhurst, Georgia, and N.T. Dockery of Panama City, Florida.
The remains will be forwarded tonight by the Robinson Mortuary of Dallas, where funeral services and burial will be held Thursday.
