My Beloved Grandfather who meant so much to me and all his Family....
Grew up a poor farmer in Perry County.
Went off to war fighting the Japanese in the Philippines. (Fought in the Battle of Luzon).
Was one of the first to go into Japan to Liberate the Japanese.

W.O. came home from the war and started a Nursery business in Plantersville, AL (Outside Selma) and grew that business (Along with his son, Bobby) into the 2nd largest nursery in the Southeast USA.

W.O. loved to plant and watch things grow whether it was at the Nursery or it was the HUGE garden he planted every year. He taught me how to eat and enjoy peppers, even the HOT ones!!..
Heck, I think he taught me to eat FULL STOP, cause I do it so well and so did he...LOL

He is missed Greatly!!!!....:-(
