John Monroe Gaston of Three Forks died at his home, Pathways Personal Care Home in Three Forks. John was born on Aug 27, 1908, in Miami, OK, to the late James Addington Gaston and Mary Agnes Foley Gaston. He attended school in Oklahoma and Kansas and helped on the family farm. In 1934, he moved with the family to farm in Weslaco, Texas. There he met Anice Rachel Hancock, and they were married Dec. 8, 1936. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Opal and Frank Hart of Three Forks; grandson and wife, Tom and Theresa Hart of Three Forks; granddaughter and husband, Lynnette and Tim VanLuchene of Manhattan; great-grandchildren, Devin, Megan and Johnny Hart of Three Forks, and Chad and Casie VanLuchene of Manhattan; and a brother, Leo Gaston of Redmond, OR. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 52 years; and brothers, Lawrence, Robert, Edward and George. An infant sister and a granddaughter, Angie Hart, also preceded him in death.
