She was the wife of R.W. Mayne, foreman for the Old Dominion Company. She had been suffering with acute kidney trouble. An operation was performed by Drs. Holt and Sturgeon, which was deemed successful, but apparently came too late to save her life. She was a native of California, and lived in Globe with her husband for about 12 years. She was survived by her husband; six sons, Daniel R. Robb, Ralph Robb, Arthur Mayne, Everett M. Mayne, Harry R. Mayne, and Lester R. Mayne; one daughter, Alice. Lester, the youngest, was only three years old.
