Wm. W. Park was born at Sandusky, Ohio February 6, 1851, He died at Perry, Oklahoma April 29, 1927, age 76 years. When a boy of 14 years he moved with his parents to Champaign, Illinois. In 1870 he was united in marriage to Alice Clark. From Illinois he moved to Minnesota staying 5 years from Minnesota he moved to Kansas and in 1889 moved with his family to Oklahoma, residing at Hennessey. He participated in the Cherokee Strip Land Run. Since that time with the exception of five years he has been a respected resident of Noble County, having resided in Perry the last six years. He is survived by his wife five girls and three boys; Orville and Earl of Perry, John of Billins, Oklahoma, Mrs. Minnie Johnson of Geneva, Illinois, Mrs. Kirkpatrick of Mansfield, Illinois, Mrs. Etta Sarsom of Champaign, Illinois, Bessie Park of Topeka, Kansas and Mrs. Emma Zook of Blackwell, Oklahoma. One brother, Lincoln Park of Evanston, Illinois and one sister Mrs. Clara Hume of Champaign, Illinois also survive him. Mr. Park united with the Baptist Church in 1896.
