HENRY WILSON SANDERS WAS BORN JAN. 8, 1852 IN HOLLY SPRINGS, MISSISSIPPI,
THE SON OF JOSHUA SANDERS AND UNKNOWN MOTHER. HENRY MARRIED MARTHA JANE DAVIS ON NOV. 3, 1872 IN POPE CO. ARK. MARTHA JANE WAS THE DAUGHTER OF PETER B. DAVIS AND MAHALA STAFFORD. HENRY WAS A FARMER. HENRY AND MARTHA JANE RAISED 7 OF THE 8 CHILDREN THAT WERE BORN TO THEM. HENRY DIED SEPT 10, 1921 AND MARTHA JANE DIED JAN. 16, 1942 AND THEY ARE BURIED SIDE BY SIDE IN THE OAKWOOD CEMETERY, IN PARIS, LOGAN CO., ARKANSAS.

Henry W. Sanders and his brothers were in the civil war. His granddaughter Adrene wrote was that Henry was too young to be a soldier but served as a water boy. The brothers were seperated after the end of the war, but eventually got back together. Henry made a move to Arkansas sometime after the civil war...(some of his brothers ended up here also)... met Martha Jane Davis, married and had 1st child... moved back to Mississippi, next three
kids were born there. Then they moved back to Arkansas where the last four children were born.
