GARDNER, Mrs. MARY L.(nee NALLEY), age 83, died Thursday, April 17, 1952, at 2:55 a.m., at her residence, Old 3rd Street Road, Valley Station, KY. Devoted mother of Mrs. Sallie (Hillary) Vermillion, Mrs. Catherine (Lewis) Spayd, Henry (Emma) Gardner, Walter (Lula) Gardner, and Richard (Mary) Gardner. Survived also by 3 brothers, William, Thomas, and Robert Nalley; sister, Mrs. Mary Jo Mattingly, and Fannie Nalley, the latter of Decatur, IL.; 28 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Remains at the McDaniel Funeral Home, 4339 Park Blvd. Funeral from McDaniel's, Saturday, April 19, at 1:30 p.m., and from the South Side Church of the Nazarene, 5th and Evelyn Ave., at 2 o'clock. Interment, Evergreen Cemetery.
