Age 85. Monday, April 6, 2009 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center, following a brief illness, with his family by his side.
Born in Chicago, he was a long time Chicago area resident before retiring to Joliet 13 years ago. A WWII U.S Air Force veteran. Retired from Alliance Tool Company in Maywood, after over 35 years of service. A member of the VFW and the Moose Lodge.
Preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Adaska (1984); two daughters, Linda Sells and Paulette Adaska; his parents; three brothers and one sister.
Survived by one son, Scott (Marni) Adaska of Lake in the Hills; one daughter, Elaine Davis of Shelbyville, IN; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; his fiancee, Gladys Miceli of LaGrange Park also survives.
Funeral Services for Edward Adaska will be Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel Pastor Loy Schlote officiating. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
Memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Wednesday 4-8 p.m. at:
