Wayne Anthony Hoffman, 45, lifelong area resident, died Thursday, April 30, 2009 in Texhoma, Oklahoma.
The son of Lawrence and Joy (Frame) Hoffman, he was born on June 6, 1963 at Guymon. Wayne attended the Guymon schools, graduating with the Class of 1981.
He was married to Kristene McCallister in Texhoma, Texas on April 7, 2007. Wayne was employed with the City of Texhoma as Chief of Police. He was also a member of the Guymon and Texhoma EMS/FIRE response.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Hoffman, daughter, Laura Edge and grandson, Matthew Edge.
Survivors include his wife, Kristene of the home; four children: John Hoffman of Guymon, Jessica and husband, Chris Graham of Texhoma, KayLynne Hoffman of Texhoma and Alecia McCallister of Hotchkiss, Colorado. Survivors also include his mother, Joy Hoffman of Guymon, a brother, Joe Hoffman of Guymon and sister, Cathy and husband, Lynn Mason of Hardesty, Oklahoma and one granddaughter, Emily Graham.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 5th at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Texhoma with Rev. Mike Hughes and Rev. Larry Brace officiating.
Interment with EMS/FIRE honors will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery, Guymon, Oklahoma. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
