Mrs. S.R. Davis, 82, of 1104 Dalhart Street, died in Collingsworth General Hospital about 2:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00p.m. Thursday, August 8, in First Baptist Church, with the
Rev. Roy Collins, pastor,officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens by Kelso Funeral home.
Mrs. Davis, the former Annie Belle Shaw, was born in Bosque County Feb 12, 1892, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Prewitt Shaw. She and Mr. Davis were married November 21, 1910, at Iowa Park.
He preceded her in death July 31, 1957. From the time they came to Collinsworth County until his death, they farmed north of Wellington.
Mrs. Davis was a member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by a niece, Mrs Mary Swaffar of Fritch and a number of other relatives.
