EX-INSPECTOR OF MINES DIES AT AGE OF 91 - John Allison, 91, a retired mine inspector, died at 5 pm Sunday (Mar 16, 1952) at the tome of a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Helmers, 8 Fletcher Place, with whom he lived. A resident of Danville 75 years, Mr. Allison lived on Sherman St. for 50 years. He was born in Sweden Jan 10, 1861. He retired from his position as a mine inspector 30 years ago. He was a member of the United Mine Workers. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helmers and Mrs. J. B. Hundley of Danville, son Frank W. Allison of Detroit, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna, six years ago, and by a daughter. The body is at Edmund & Dickson Funeral Home where services will be held at 2pm Tuesday,. The Reverend Cecil Johnson will officiate, with burial in Springhill Cemetery."
