Bill was born in Archer City. He attended Lake Worth High School where in 1963, his junior year, he was involved in a severe car accident. His injuries were extensive and because he was able to survive, the Fort Worth Press named him "The Miracle Boy" in a newspaper story.
Bill was a well-known and respected hairdresser in Fort Worth. He owned the Hair Affair, a promenent salon in the 1970s and later owned Bill Anderson's Hair Salon in the Ridglea Theatre building for 23 years. He won numerous state championships and awards in hair cutting and styling in Texas competitions. He continued to work as long as possible even after his diagnosis with a rare illness.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnn Childs Parsley; and father, Billy Gene Anderson of Crawford. He spent many years growing up on the Anderson family farm in Crawford. He lived as an adult sharing this beautiful property with his wife and sons.
He was a member of Benbrook United Methodist Church and was a member of Ridglea Lodge #1341 A.F.& A.M. in Fort Worth.
The family would like to extend deepest appreciation for those friends, family and medical caregivers that helped Bill during his illness. To all of those that sat in his chair, he cared and cherished your friendship. His kindness will be missed by many.
