Virginia "Ginger" Louise Hawkins of Bedford, IN, died Thursday, June 28th, 2001, at Westview Manor. Born on February 15, 1917, she was the daughter of Charles and Jesse (Gillen) Parham. She married Vada "Bud" Hawkins, and he survives.

Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Betty Brown of Bedford, IN, and Janie Lyons of Springville, IN; two brothers, Kenneth Parham of Bloomington, IN, and Gene Parham of Bedford, IN; five grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Central Church of Christ, M.N.I. Home Demonstration Club, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Stone City Squares & Round Dancers, and was a former 4-H leader.

Services for Virginia Hawkins will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 2nd, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bud Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
