James "Jimbo" Ernie Adams, 56, of Pikeville, Tenn., died Sept. 20, 2008, at Erlanger Bledsoe Hospital.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather, James was a lifetime member of Masonic Lodge in Phoenix, Ariz., a Class I electrician, and a member and elder of Dayton Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Adams; parents, Earnest and Myrtle Curry Adams; brother, Charles Adams; five sisters, Bernice De Bardelaben, Birdie Estes, Betty LaFarge, Billie Fisher, and Brenda Ford.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene Adams of Pikeville, Tenn.; two daughters, Angie (Andy) Henschen and Jamie (Jeremy) Glover both of Dayton; three sisters, Pat Powers and Glenda Steadman both of Houston, Texas and Virtalee Brehaut of San Diego, Calif.; five grandchildren, Dylan, Dustin and Heather Henschen and Shaya Bell Bradley Parks; and several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, at 3 p.m. at Dayton Church of God with Rev. Mike Justice officiating. Burial will be at Spivey Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008 after 5 p.m. at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home.
