Mother of 9 Children Called
Unexpectedly Last Saturday

Mrs. George A. Noren of Chisago City, 51 years old and the mother of nine children died unexpectedly at the Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis Saturday afternoon after having become suddenly ill the previous day.

The illness came on very suddenly Friday and she was rushed to the Minneapolis Hospital. Early Saturday an operation for [unnamed] rupture was performed, and the unexpected death followed only a few hours later.

The funeral service were conducted at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the Chisago City Lutheran Church, Rev. C. E. Slatt officiating. Besides the congregational singing two songs were contributed by Mr. A. O. Peterson and Mrs. A. O. Peterson and Mrs. Arthur W. Peterson. Interment was in South Green Lake cemetery, the pallbearers being C. J. Noren, John Carlson, O. C. Linn, Luther Linn, L. O. Anderson, and M. Bergquist.

Mrs Minnie Amanda Noren was the youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Swen Palmquist, charter members of the Chisago City Church. She was born at Chisago City on May 8, 1880 and since her infant days had been a member of the congregation, having been baptized on May 16 the same year. On April 14, 1895 she was confirmed in the church and on May 24, 1903 was joined in marriage to George A. Noren. The union was blessed with ten children, one of whom died in his early years. Mrs. Noren spent her entire life in the Chisago City community.

Besides her husband and his aged father, Frank J. Noren, she is survived by four daughters, five sons, one sister, other relatives and many friends who also mourn her passing. The sister is Mrs. Anton Palmer of Chisago City, and the daughters and sons: Mrs. Reuben Lunderberg and Mrs. Melvin Lunderberg of Minneapolis; Evelyn Noren and Esther Noren, Chisago City; Elmer Noren, Leonard Noren, Theodore Noren, Paul Noren and Herbert Noren.
