Clyde Daniel Alford

Clyde was an educator and long-time sports coach in Kanawha, Putnam and Boone Counties, West Virginia. He developed successful football programs at a number of West Virginia high schools including St. Albans, Hurricane, Poca, and Scott (Madison). This followed Clyde's successful football career at Marshall College (now University). He played professional football in Huntington, West Virginia for the Huntington Bulldogs of the Tri-State League and was player/Coach for the semi-professional St. Albans Wildcats.

Clyde was also mayor of St. Albans, Kanawha County, West Virginia
