Clara Ross Perry
Mrs Clara Ross Perry passed away at her home in Torrington, Wyo., Monday November 14, following a several months' illness. Clara Ross was born in Central City Colorado January 2, 1880. She spent her childhood in Central City and received her education in the schools of that city, graduating from Central City High School. Following her graduation from Colorado University, she taught in the schools of Sunrise, Wyo. Mrs Perry is the daughter of the late John M and Harriett A Ross, pioneer residents of this city. She was united in marriage to E P Perry in Cheyenne, Wyo., December 17, 1904 and they have always made their home in Torrington. Mrs Perry was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and P E O Sisterhood of Torrington and was actively affiliated with the Christian Science Church of that city. Surviving her are her husband and a daughter, Miss Mae Perry of Torrington, and a sister, Mrs J A Russell of Auburn, Calif. Funeral services were held in Torrington at 10:00 am Wednesday after which the body of Mrs Perry was accompanied to Golden by Mr Perry and daughter, and Mrs J A Russell of Auburn, Calif. A short service was held at the Ross family plot in Golden Cemetery Wednesday afternoon. (Golden Transcript, Golden Colorado, November 17, 1938)
