Funeral service for Corporal Elmer H. Cable, who was killed in action in France September 1, 1944, will be held from First Baptist Church Saturday at 2:30 p.m. with the pastor, Dr. Ryland Knight, assisted by Rev. Major Arrowood, of Elizabethton, TN, officiating. Corporal Cable is survived by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Ben H. Cable; three sisters, Mrs. Zella Adkins and Miss Kathleen Cable, of Pulaski, and Miss Wilma Cable, of Washington, DC; one brother, Berlin R. Cable, of Pulaski. Military honors will be conducted at the grave by Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post No. 1184, Pulaski. The body will be taken to the home of his parents, 227 Henry Avenue and remain until the hour of the funeral.
