Mrs. Mollie Smith Crabtrce, 69, well known Pulaski resident, died suddenly yesterday morning at her home, 144 Fourth street, north. Mrs. Crabtree was born in Pulaski in 1883, the daughter of the late Captain Robert and Abbie Tilson Smith. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs, Emma Earl Shufflebarger, Pulaski; two sons, Robert Smith Crabtree, Roanoke, and Paul Joyce Crabtree. Forest Hills, NY; two brothers, Early L. Smith, Pulaski, and Carl Smith, Radford; two sisters, Miss Lillian Smith, of Pulaski, and Mrs. M.R. Cooper, of Richmond. Also nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the First Baptist church with the Rev. John C. Clark and the Rev H.B. Abshire officiating interment will follow in Oakwood cemetery. The body will remain at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons funeral home until one hour before the service when it will be taken to the church. Active pallbearers will be Fred Delp, S.R. Allen, Edward Sadler, Sam Martin, Tom Combiths, jr., and Howard C. Gilmer, jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Rev. Joel B. Whitten, jr., John C. Harman and Howard R. Imboden. Flowerbearers will be members of the T.E.L. Bible class of which the deceased was a member.
