SEAGRAVES - Funeral services for Joel Ross Faulkenberry, 86, retired Loop Community farmer, will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at the Loop Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. R F. Newman, pastor, assisted by Rev. Gordon Smith, pastor of the First Seagraves Baptist Church. Burial will be in Loop Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home in Seagraves. Faulkenberry died at 7 am Monday at Seagraves Clinic Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born on Sept. 18,1882 in Kaufman County, he was married to Martha Emma Mills June 24, 1907 in Hamilton County She died in 1952. The one-time farmer moved to Gaines County in 1941 from Childress. He lived in the Loop Community until 1966 when he moved to Seagraves. He was a member of the Loop Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter Mrs. W. F. Harbin of Wellington; two sons, Alton Ross and W. C. Faulkenberry of Seagraves; three sisters, Mrs. Beulah Denman of Purcell, Okla., Mrs. Mae Brewer and Mrs. Lillie Oats, both of Hamilton; two brothers, Mark F. Faulkenberry of Tyler and Robert F. Faulkenberry of Purcell, Okla. seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren
