Demise---Many South End Infants
Die of That Disease

Measles with pneumonia complications caused the death caused the death of another South Muscatine child yesterday. Vernie Ernest, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Free Brewer of 626 Schley avenue, passed away yesterday morning at the family residence after a short illness. A number of the South
Muscatine children have died during the past three months as a result of this disease. The measles has
been quite prevalent and while in the majority of cases the attack has been light, many have contracted
cold and a infection of the lungs has in some cases proven fatal. The child was born on March 5,
1907. The funeral was held this afternoon from the home.
