Mrs. Bertha Mae Blake, age 77 of Mountain Home passed away Sunday, August 24, 2008 at Auburn Hills Health & Rehab. Bertha Mae Blake was born May 25, 1931 in Tutwiler, Mississippi to Buford Jennings and Leola (Chandler) Jennings. She married Jessie Edward Blake on September 23, 1950 in Sumner, Mississippi. Mrs. Blake enjoyed sewing. She was a member of the West Acres Baptist Church.

Mrs. Bertha Mae Blake is survived by 3 daughters: Caron Lynch, Linda Jones (Walter), and Sharon Fowler all of Mountain Home; 2 granddaughters, Cindy Brower (Gary) and Kristen Pedersen (Chet); 1 great granddaughter; Samantha Hopkins, and 1 great grandchild on the way. Also surviving are 2 sisters; Lillie Lumpkin (Jake) of West Helena and Rena Hull of Moon Lake, Mississippi, 1 brother; L P Jennings of Webb, Mississippi She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 1 granddaughter (Mary Elizabeth Jones), 3 brother, 1 sister, and 1 son in law (Larry Fowler).

Visitation for Mrs. Blake will be 6 – 9 PM Wednesday at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday in the Roller Citizens Funeral Home Chapel.
