Rev. James A. Bailey

Rev. James A. Bailey, age 77 of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Loretto, TN, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008 in Indianapolis after an extended illness.

He was a native of Iron City, TN, served as Pastor of Churches of the Nazarene in Indiana, Tennessee and Florida for over 36 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Evie Short Bailey; brothers: George, Frank, Acie and Marvin Bailey; one sister: Bonnie Bailey.

He is survived by his wife: Genell Phillips Bailey of Indianapolis, IN; three sons: Rev. J. D. Bailey and wife, Esther, Avon Bailey, Rick Bailey and wife, Kimberly all of Indianapolis, IN; one daughter: Debra Sneed and husband, Gary of Indianapolis, IN; one brother, Bill Bailey and wife, Bonnie of Leoma, TN; four sisters: Margie Smith of Loretto, TN; Evie Goodpastor of Anderson, IN; Mitzi Bailey of San Diego, CA and Betty Comnachini and husband, Ron of Merced, CA; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.

Graveside services for Rev. James A. Bailey were conducted Friday, March 28, 2008 at 2:00 p. m. at Smith Cemetery with Marcus Wilson officiating. Interment followed. Loretto Memorial Chapel was in charge of all the arrangements.
