William H. Lewter of Valparaiso, Fla., entered into rest on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.

The son of the late William F. and Henriette Bennin Lewter, he was born in Orlando, Fla., on June 12, 1926.

William, a 19-year resident, retired from the U.S. Air Force, serving as an auto mechanic. Mr. Lewter was a man who loved to talk and tinker. He will be sadly missed by family, friends and his church.

Survivors include his wife, Lovena, at home; son, Stanley Lewter of Progue, Idaho; daughter, Roxanne Shimp of Choctaw, Idaho; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 1, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will immediately follow with Brother Ken Burleson officiating.

Burial will take place at Sunnylane Cemetery in Del, Okla., at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Northwest Florida School of Biblical Studies, 57 E. Hanna Circle,
Pensacola, FL 32534.

Arrangements under the direction of McLaughlin Twin Cities Funeral Home, Niceville.
