Roge "Everett" Fender
Roge "Everett" Fender, 69, Springfield, passed away at 3 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2002, in his home.
He was born December 11, 1932, in Springfield, the son of Roge E. and Louisa Agnes Brugger Fender.
Everett served in the Navy Reserves from 1950-1958, was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and had worked in the past 45 years and nine months at a local Chevrolet dealership.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mark William; a grandson, Rickey Lea; a sister, Jackie Baron; and two brothers, Bonnie and Wallis Fender.
Everett is survived by his wife, Ann Fender of the home, two sons and their wives, Rocky and Joy Fender, Galena, Mo., and Andy and Lisa Fender, Jefferson City, Mo.; a daughter and her husband Katy and Lonnie Ogla, Springfield; a brother and his wife, Mike and Loretta Fender, Springfield; five sisters, Helen Taylor and husband, Clint, Marshfield, Mo., Dorothy Day, Springfield, Ola Grace Bassman, Springfield, Maxine Pursselley, Bell Flower, Calif., and Pauline Stories, the state of Michigan; 16 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2002, in St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Denis Dougherty, O.S.B. celebrant, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial will be in Steward Cemetery, Fordland, Mo.
Prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home.
