Paul C. Pennell, 68, of 150 Park drive, retired electric sales manager died at Salem City hospital at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday following two weeks illness.
A son of the late Charles and Elva Gordon Pennell he was born in Muncie, Ind., on Jan. 5, 1900.
On Nov. 10, 1919 he was married to the former Margery Ann Milnes. She died Aug. 31, 1965.
For 30 years, prior to his retirement in 1962 he had worked as a sales manager for the Wolf Electric company of Beaver Falls where he resided until moving here the same year.
He was a World War 1 veteran having served with the Medical Corps in Europe.
A son, Paul S. Pennell resides at RD 1, this city and there are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Nanacy) Davis and Mrs. Regis (Miriam) Archibald, both of this city.
Robert, a son preceded his parents in death.
The Rev. George Van Lueven of the Darlington United Presbyterian Church will be in charge of wervices at 1:30 pm Friday at the Oliver funeral home.
Burial will be made in Glenview cemetery.
Calling hours are Thursday from 7 to 9 pm at the funeral home.

Paul's father Charles A. Pennell left the family abt. 1911 for work in Chicago. He was never heard from after he left. There is no death information about him ever found.
