Married by 1641 Margaret _____. Sometime prior to 1657, "Margaret Pitcher" joined twenty other Dorchester women in signing a petition to the General Court is support of Alice Kibby, a midwife.
Pope concluded his sketch of Andrew Pitcher with a note on the will of William Pitcher, probated at Essex Court on 30 June 1676 [Pope 362; EPR 3:80]. There does not seem to be any connection between Andrew Pitcher and William Pitcher.
In the Dorchester land grants of 1634, Andrew Pitcher was grouped with a number of young, unmarried men. This is consistent with what we know from other sources of his date of marriage, and suggests that our estimate of his date of birth cannot be far off the mark.
