Enid, OK — A memorial service for Richard Emmet Witter, 87, of Perry, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008, in the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home chapel, Perry. The Rev. Roger Dunn will officiate.

He was born March 25, 1921, at Perry to Floyd E. and Lillie Meads Witter and died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at his home.

He served in the Army during World War II. He married Mary Ann Enright May 1, 1961, in Perry. She died Feb. 27, 1997. He was a water and light technician for the city of Perry.

Surviving are one son of Perry; one daughter of Perry; one sister of Perry; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Mary Ann, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
