Madeline K. Head, 91, a resident of Harmony for the last two years, died Wed., Sept. 10, 2003, at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center after a brief Illness. She had resided in the 2600 block of N. 9th St. for 60 years.
Madeline was born in Town of Wilson on Oct. 21, 1911, a daughter of F. William and Helen (Wolf) Gartman. She attended Holy Name Elementary School and was a graduate of Sheboygan High School, in 1929.
Prior to her marriage she was employed at the Sheboygan Clinic.
On July 15, 1935, in Janesville, Madeline and Roy V. Head of Sheboygan were united in marriage. He preceded her in death on Sept. 15, 1993.
Madeline was a lifelong member of Holy Name Catholic Parish.
Survivors include a daughter of Chapel Hill NC; two sons; daughter-in-law; and three grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Madeline was preceded in death by a son, Thomas, three brothers [William] and three sisters [Leona].
A memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Sun., Sept. 14 at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. Rev. James E. Connell, pastor of Holy Name Catholic Parish, will officiate. A time of visitation will be held Sun. from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
Madeline was a devoted wife and mother. She will be especially remembered for her alert mind and exceptional memory.
