Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Head, widow of Fred Head, who passed away suddenly at the Anna M. Reiss Home Wednesday noon, will be held Saturday morning at 8:30 at Gerend's Funeral home, followed by a requiem high mass at 9:00 at Holy Name church. Rt. Rev. Msgr. Philipp Dreis will officiate. Burial will take place on the family lot in Calvary cemetery.
Born in Glenbeulah on March 7, 1873, Mrs. Head was the daughter of Archibald and Ellen McTaggart, early settlers in that region. She moved to this city with her parents when she was about 10 years old. Her marriage to Mr. Head was solemnized at Holy Name church by the late Msgr. Dominic F. Thill on Oct. 17, 1899. Mr. Head passed away in 1937, and for the past 6 years she has resided at the Anna M. Reiss Home.
She was a faithful member of St. Clement's church for many years, and since residing at the Anna M. Reiss Home has been a member of Holy Name parish. She was a charter member of the Ladies of the Moose.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. A. W. (Alice) Sommer, Los Angeles CA, 2 sons: Roy and Ralph, Sheboygan; 4 grandchildren [Thomas Head]; a brother, John McTaggart, and a sister Mrs. Caroline Collins Vernon, both residing in California. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sons [Harold and Elwin], who died in infancy and 4 brothers [James, Charles, Edward and Stephen].
Friends may call at the funeral home from this evening at 7:30 until time of services.

Many beautiful flowers banked the casket while the body lay in state. Tributes were received from the Rexine company, Women of the Moose and the Engineering Dept. of the Kohler Co.
Pallbearers were James Bassett, Everett Driscoll, Robert Fleischer, Chester Metzner, Al Regenfuss, and George Shavie.
Attending the services from away was Mrs. William Plummer, Sparta WI.
