Stella M. Condon, age 94, of Sturgis, Michigan, died Thursday October 14, 2004 at Mathew 7:7 Limited in White Pigeon. She was born October 17, 1909 in Branch County, Michigan, a daughter to Stephen and Mary (Herman) Sosinski. Stella had resided in Sturgis since 1927 coming from Bronson. On June 3, 1933 she married T. Maurice Condon at the St. Mary of Assumption Catholic Church in Bronson. Maurice died April 22, 1974.

Stella was a homemaker and an active member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sturgis the Altar Society the Birthday Club and the Mintdale Women’s Club. Stella enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, sewing, quilting and Square Dancing. She is survived by one daughter and her husband, Mary and Gary Iobe of Leonidas; one daughter-In-law, Gloria Condon of Burr Oak; three grandsons, two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold & Anna Sosinski of Bronson and Leonard & Marie Sosinski of Woodstock, IL; one sister, Ruth Buccellato of Allen Park; one half-brother, Francis Dietrich of Ossian, IN; one sister-In-law, Lorraine Sosinski of Kalamazoo; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband; her parents, son Stephen Condon, sister, Florence O’Shea, two brothers, Marion Sosinski and Joseph Sosinski and two half-sisters, Mary Ann Dietrich and Alphia Kiep preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the Hackman-Foglesong Funeral Home in Sturgis from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday where the Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Prayers before the Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with a procession to Holy Angels Catholic Church where the Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Fr. Stanley Witek will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.

The family suggests those wishing to make a memorial donation in Mrs. Condon’s memory consider the Holy Angels Catholic Church.
