He worked for 10 years in the blending department at Doran Mills.
He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and his Christian life was a visible testimony to others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Dovie Allen Bowen; three brothers, Joe Bowen, Howard Bowen and Max Bowen; four sisters, Cecil Allen, Epsie Morgan, Edna Davis and Blanche Bowen; and one great-grandchild, Joshua Bowen.
Funeral: Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
Burial: church cemetery.
