George Riley, 73, of Axtell, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at a local hospital. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9, at Axtell Cemetery with the Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 8, at Bellmead Funeral Home, Bellmead.
George was born in Axtell, Texas, to the late George William and Annie (Mach) Riley. He farmed in the Axtell Community all of his life and was very special to his family and friends who will miss him greatly.
Survivors include his brothers, James Donald Riley, of McGregor, and Woodrow Riley, of Bellmead; special friends, Larry and Becky Bowdoin; several nieces and nephews.
