HOLDEN ? Roland F. Knight, 87, of 21 Jamieson Road, died Monday, February 9, 2004, at the Coes Pond Hospice Residence, Worcester, after being diagnosed with lung cancer two weeks earlier. His wife of 41 years, Anna T. (Mientkiewicz) Knight, died in 1980. He is survived by his son, Richard W. Knight of Holden, and several nephews, nieces and cousins. His brother, Alleion F. Knight of Shrewsbury, died in 1987. He was born in Worcester, son of Francis A. and Maude E. (Holland) (Fiske) Knight and lived in Holden 55 years. He attended Commerce High School in Worcester and Worcester Jr. College. Mr. Knight was a sale engineer for Reed Rolled Thread Die Co. (Reed Rico) in Holden for many years, retiring in 1982. He enjoyed photography and was a member of the Seven Hills Camera Club in Worcester. The funeral service was held yesterday, February 11, in Miles Funeral Home, Holden (www.milesfuneralhome.com). Burial followed in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
