Ernest Charles also went by Andrew, although the reason for this is unknown. He was the son of Leonard Arzberger and Margaret Lott.Ernest retired from Gem Mfg. Company as a pressman. One of 12 siblings. He married Anna Edith Duff in 1890.
They had 6 children. Ernest was my mothers grandfather and she always remembered him fondly as the grampa who loved to laugh. The cause of death is listed as Paresis, which in modern times would be Partial Parylis related to dementia. Andrew died at age 63 years, 6 months and 4 days. His beloved wife Annie died in 1927.
about a year after Annie's death Andrew began to deteriorate. The attending physician indicated at his death that he had been stricken with the malady about 5 years which does indicate loss of his wife had a grave impact. Mom said " after my grandmother died my grandfather changed, he just didn't laugh and play anymore".
