May 6, 2009 Marguerite H. Slocum of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday at home. She graduated from Central High School and Syracuse University. Marguerite was a librarian in the Syracuse City School District. She also worked at the Cerebral Palsy Clinic in Syracuse. She had many interests and very much enjoyed gardening. She was a member of the Gem and Mineral Society, the Iris Society and African Violet Society. She was predeceased by brothers, Albert and Vincent Slocum. Marge is survived by her sisters, Helen Simmons and Alice Riley; her brother, Joseph Slocum; sister-in-law, Kate Slocum; nieces, Carol Spiegel, Joanne Crosman, Judy Fero; nephews, Thomas Riley, John (Jay) Slocum and Michael Slocum. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Tindall Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Brigid-St. Joseph Church. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery. A calling hour will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, 1921 W. Genesee St. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Central New York Eye and Tissue Bank, 517 E.
