John William Adams, 54, of Martin, died Sat, Apr 18, 2009, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson.
Services will be held at 1pm today at Murphy Funeral Home, with Bro. Mark Abbott and Bro. Rev. Richard Brewer officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery.
Brent Thomas Adams, John Bradley Adams, Brian Phillips, Bradley Stockdale, Tommy Summers, Bobby Summers, Steve Summers and James Monroe Pettit will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Phillips, Tommy Simmons, Denny Simmons and Rick Campbell.
Adams was born Feb. 4, 1955, in Obion County, son of Mary Summers Adams of Martin and the late Joe Thomas Adams. He was a dairy farmer and member of Ralston Baptist Church.
Survivors also include his wife, Claudine Roberts Adams of Martin; two sons, John Bradley Adams and Brent Thomas Adams, both of Martin; one daughter, Janet Brianne Stockdale of Martin; one sister, Nancy Jo Adams of Union City; four grandchildren, Hunter Todd, Hayleigh Stockdale, Austin Stockdale, and Bentley Adams.
