WAIT, IDA LUELLA TAYLOR (1866-1957)
Born Ida Luella Taylor, the third of eleven children, in Columbus City, Indiana to Peter Kinney and Nancy (Sipe)Taylor. She was affectionately known as 'Lulu'. Siblings included: Anna (Vernon Wait), Emma (Charles Milligan), Ora (Theron Powell), Edmund, Ferdinand (Mabel), Roberta Belle (Alva Hawkins), Rozetta (Clyde Smith), Leonidis 'Lon' (Grace Ward), Pearl (Ward Krick) and Grover Cleveland (Emma Hilker).

She married Arthur Freemont Wait on January 21, 1885. They had 3 children: Ethel (Lochner), Blanche (Gailey), Lulubel (Miller).

Rev. Albert C. J. Kellow officiated at the funeral in the First Presbyterian Church in Battle Creek, Iowa. Pallbearers were Jim Witt, Wait Gailey, Roger Parker, Wm. 'Bill' Lochner, Robert Collier and Carleton Van Houten. Special music was sung by Duane Fowler, with Mrs. Alvin (Lena) Iversen at the organ.

Lulu was known for her simple goodness, kindly neighborliness, a devoted church member and always a plate of ice cream wafer cookies on her table. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Ladies Aid society, Friendly Helpers Bible Class and the W.C.T.U. (Women's Christian Temperance Union).
