Dr. Morris Fussell

On Saturday afternoon, Dr. Morris Fussell, died at his home near Chester Springs. His death was due to heart trouble with which he had long suffered. The deceased was aged 72 years and two days and had practiced medicine in that community for about fifty years. He was a son of Dr. Bartholomew Fussell, who was in his day a distinguished citizen of this county. Dr. Fussell was a skilled physician and his counsel was often sought in consultation with other physicians in cases that were hard to diagnose. Dr. Fussell was twice married. Two daughters by his first wife survive him. Sue is the wife of Dr. Bailey, of Spiceland, Indiana, and Helen, who is single has a position on the Pan-American Exposition grounds at Buffalo.

About seven years ago the deceased married a second time. This time he married Miss Esther Moses, a member of the Faculty of the Chester Springs Orphan's School. Mrs. Fussell survives her husband, as does a daughter, aged about five years.

Dr. Benjamin Fussell, of Indiana, is a brother, as is also Joshua Fussell, of Texas, who was recently home on a visit to the doctor.

Dr. Fussell was a great lover of fine bred live stock and his farm was well stocked with fine horses and cattle.

The deceased was a member of the Society of Friends and a man of spotless reputation. He was a republican in politics, but not an office seeker. His medical practice received his undivided attention during all the years of his active life.
