WORCESTER - Ernest A. Jandrow, 75, of 55 Perry Ave., died yesterday in Spring Valley Convalescent Home, 81 Chatham St.
He leaves his wife, Genevieve E. (Gustowski) Jandrow; a son, John J. Jandrow; a daughter, Mary Jane Jandrow; a brother, Noel Jandrow, all of Worcester; two grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of Herbert and Anna (Grenier) Jandrow, and lived here all his life. He graduated from the former Worcester High School of Commerce.
Mr. Jandrow was a galvanizer for the former Swanstrom Galvanizing Co. for about 30 years, retiring in 1979. He previously worked for the former Graton & Knight Co. He was a member of the St. Jeane Baptiste Society and Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European theater, primarily in Germany.
The private funeral will be held tomorrow from Henry Funeral Home, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
