Ella Mae Head Stone, 64, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2008, at her residence.

A lifelong resident of the North Georgia area, she was a former teacher and librarian at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School.

She attended Brainerd Baptist Church and was a member of the Georgia Educators Association.

She was preceded, in death, by her parents, Clarence and Myra Rollins Head.

She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Mickey Stone and Angela Guarnieri, of Macon, Ga., and Coby and Melissa Stone, of Missoula, Mont.; two sisters, Barbara Sorrow, of Chattanooga, and Carol Breedlove, of Cumming, Ga.; two nieces and one nephew.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor John Tudor officiating.

Interment will follow at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Dalton, Ga.

The family will receive friends today from 5-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold.

Can't believe that another person that I knew from me going to school first at Lakeview Middle-Rossville, GA (Corbitt and Haddock) then Lakeview High (Zach O'Neal) and now she is gone also.

I'll miss her. I remember going into the library and she was a nice woman and always helpful. I'll never forget her. I don't think anyone else that knew her will either.
