In the 1920 census, Ralph is in Worcester with his wife Lucy E Phillips Bugbee, born in 1898, his father-in-law Uban Phillips (born in 1873 -RI), and two sister-in-laws - Beatrice (age 18) and Amy (age 10).In the 1930 census he lived at 3 Silver St in Worcester with his wife Lucy and daughter Eileen (b 1928). Lucy Bugbee died in 1954. After his home on May Street was flooded out by a storm in 1955, Ralph moved to Rochdale and then Spencer. At the time of his death Mr. Bugbee left his daughter Eileen G, wife of Walter T Nelson Jr, with whom he lived on Wilson St in Spencer. He also left six grandchildren.
He served in World War I, E2 US Navy, and was a former member and chaplain of American Legion Post No. 205, Rochdale, and former scoutmaster of Boy Schout Troop 125 in Rochdale.
