He was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Washington, and St. Joseph's Council, Knights of Columbus.
His wife the former Anne C. Baumhoffer, died in 1961.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Helen Gulick, Hampton; Mrs. Ida Kelson, Swartswood, NJ, and Mrs. Georgia Meyers, Rutland, VT; three sisters, Miss Ruth Hendershot and Mrs. Althea Mosteller, both of Washington, and Mrs. Dorothy Fox, Oxford; two brothers, Manches, Whitehouse, NJ, and Robert, Washington; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
