Alex Sherman Berry Alex Sherman Berry, 65, of 1114 Cannon Bridge Road, Orangeburg, died Monday at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. David Austin officiating. Mr. Berry was born Dec. 15, 1928, in Orangeburg, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Francis S. Berry. He attended Liberty Freewill Baptist Church and was a painter. He was the widower of Rosemary Berry. Survivors include two stepdaughters, Mrs. Billy (Ruth Ann) Watson of Cordova and Mrs. Chuck (Kathy) Farrington of Winston- Salem, N.C.; a brother, Marvin Berry of Columbia; a sister, Mrs. Eva Tedder of Orangeburg; eight grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Thompson Funeral Home. Friends may call at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Watson, 147 Griffins Court, Cordova, and the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Red Cross, Orangeburg Chapter, 545 Louis St., Orangeburg, S.C., 29115.
