MT. PISGAH—Alton Keith Alford, 77, a resident of Mt. Pisgah, died on Tuesday, December 30, 2003, at his residence. Funeral services were held on Thursday at Crain Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and a S.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Smith Alford of Mt. Hermon; four daughters, Sharon Alford Burch, Phyllis Lynn Alford, both of Mt. Hermon, Virginia Alford of McComb, and Kathleen Sheriff of Winston, Georgia; a brother, Milton Alford of Pearland, Texas; five grandchildren, Lanette Johnson, Amy Fontenot, Donna Rushing, Kitty Wright, and John Alton Burch; and ten great-grandchildren.
A son, Keith Darrol Alford, and a granddaughter, Laura Hartzog, preceded him in death.
